Summary - Almost Home 🐶

So far in the book a girl named Sugar Mae Cole is dealing with problems in her house... Well about her house. Her house is going to be sold if her mother doesn't pay 5 months worth of mortgage payment and a loan her father took from the house. Sugar had went to the park and a little girl had walked up to her and gave her a dog because the little girl didn't want her dad to give the dog to the pound. So now Sugar has a dog but her mom doesn't want it. And that is my book so far.

Mood

I had forgotten my book st home so I was reading a book called Almost Home instead. This book made me feel happy and excited to read it and think it's mostly because it has a dog on the cover. The book was interesting but it kinda confused me at first. I had thought the book was in a dogs point of view because it had a dog on the cover but then I realized that it wasn't a dogs point of view it was just a regular girl name Sugar telling the story. So yeah this book makes me feel happy.

Mood

I have a lot of moods when I read this book because it could be happy yet sad at the same time or it could just bore me and make me mad. A reason why I sometimes get angry is because of the people who are so quick to judge others and make fun of them for little things in the book. I know it's kinda silly to get mad at someone who is fake but sometimes to me it feels so real. A reason why it makes me sad is because when I think about how people in a book could go through bad times in their life it makes me upset to think about how people in real life could go through the same thing.

Foreshadowing

In my book so far I haven't seen any foreshadowing so this is my summary of my book. A girl named Nicole (Colie) is told she'll be moving in with her aunt for the summer because her mom is going on a European fitness tour. On the way to her aunts house she meets a man named Norman who was sent by her aunt to pick her up. Once they get to her aunts house her aunts first impression is her looking for her cat. That's all I've read so far.

Sketchnote

1.) I learned that there are many mutations that can mess with your genes.
2.) The most interesting mutation I learned so far was how that genes can be substitute, cause I always thought that genes would be in the same pattern and they wouldn't be in different patterns.
3.) Yes because I like drawing.
4.) I would put more writing in it next time.

Hi, I'm Aaliyah a student in Berwyn Illinois. I love drawing, music, animals, video games, and my family ❤️. My favorite subject in school will have to be art :). Erm, 8th grade is very eventful...so far 😅 So I guess that's good 😊. I really like how in 8th grade we're starting to learn more creative and fun things. I think I'll do good in biology....hopefully. I can't concentrate so well :/ like the littlest things can distract me... So I'll need to work on that if I want to do a good job.
